In every part of the state, Kansas families have been faced with the loss of a child who was being cared for in a child care facility that they thought was safe, but was actually an uninspected facility. These are deaths that could have been prevented with annual inspections, which identify unsafe conditions and educate providers about certain safety precautions that should be taken.
